Quick answer
In fact, the Elder, Bonemass, and even Moder are all closer to your spawn than even Eikthyr. Two new upgrades can be purchased from Haldor in deeper and wider pockets, each adding a permanent new row to your inventory, joining his shop after defeating Moder and the Mistlands Queen. Bonfires like the campfires can be used to cheese bosses like Moder and Yagluth as well, by combining their powers with number 19 on this list we will cover in a bit. Moder, the frozen dragon of the mountains, got ice.
Moder will still help while sailing, but also increases carrying capacity, movement speed, and gives frost resistance. And seventh, Moder who is summoned following the placement of 3 dragon eggs will deliver you her trophy 100% of the time. Like with bonemass previously, there are cheesy methods to defeat both Moder and Yagluth but this time using bonfires. It does of course have only moderate armor and reduces movement speed by 2% from each of the robe and trousers.
Use bonfires to easily beat Moder. It's something that's not really seen in modern survival crafters because of how fiddly a system like that could be. The combination of these mods really modernizes Valheim for me. Second, is related to the brand new scythe introduced in this update which can be crafted by combining the scythe handle purchased from the bog witch after the defeat of Moder with silver.
Boss basics
Like the drake, Moder also enjoys a nice trip into the sky. Take command of over 2500 tanks, planes, helicopters, and ships representing 10 major nations throughout history ranging from biplanes and armored cars of the 1920s to modern fighter jets and tanks. This is my fight with Yagluth. Thank god that trash is over.
With powerful new trinkets, a brand-new adrenaline system, not to mention, parrying now costs ZERO stamina – the best weapons in the game have changed significantly. And these are just the minimum distances, so you may have to travel way farther than that. Moder too if you place a pole and build a platform above you. For Moder, start by digging underneath her summoning altar.
When Moder can no longer see you she will land above and clip into the bonfire to periodically take damage. Valheim's action hacking and slashing and shooting was familiar and invigorating to me as a modern action RPG player. And I'm going to do a commentary while I'm watching the video myself. Where's the Where's the stuff you get from the boss?
Summoning requirements
Moder won’t be able to see you and shortly will land on top and WAMO, the pile of overlapping stakes will absolutely crush the queen dragon. When the fight starts Moder will land atop the platform and if the hole is too deep, the flames will not touch the dragon. After defeating moder and purchasing the fragrant bundle you can combine it with a grouper and cloudberries for the anti-sting concoction mead base. As you can see, I'm walking up to the boss point here.
Spent two hours on this [ ] [ ] However, when losing line of sight they won’t attack and in this case Moder will periodically land on top of you. Um and I have already collected the statues needed to summon Yagluth. Like Moder before, Yag will know our location and crawl towards us but again, without the line of sight be unable to attack.
I am watching for mobs around the spawn point and clearing it before I start the boss fight, which is definitely recommended. Again, as some of the other boss fights, Yagluth spawns at a point and he has a common line phase where you can hit him a lot. And this is what I do. I hit him again and again.
Fight strategy
And he as you can see, he loses about about 10% to 15% life. As you can see, he lifts his left arm here and meteors come down. The best place to be when he does this is behind a rock, uh behind uh Yagluth, so that the meteors come flying in from an angle where they will hit the pillar. And this will be shown many times during this fight.
And he also does a fire breath that does fire electricity damage, chop damage. And as you can see here, another foolin came in and I finished him off quickly. I will do this like three times in the fight in general. And I'm trying to get as much damage in on Yagluth.
While I still have my potion slot. And here he summons the meteors again. And as you can see they hit the giant pillar. And It's it's one of the good ways to to really deal with Yagluth.
Rewards and drops
It's not you shouldn't use a bow against Yagluth because he's resistant to piercing damage. So It's kind of a waste of time to do that. He is neutral to slashing damage and spirit damage which why which is why I used a silver sword against him because it had It's technically has the most damage. Even though the black sword has higher slashing damage.
Uh The silver sword has also a lot of spirit damage which is helpful for Yagluth. As you can see I'm I'm burning away his health. You can see setting him on sort of spirit fire. And you can see here I'm having trouble with a foolin.
That is kind of a ranged spirit shocker. And I am trying to take care of him before I go in on the boss again. But decide that I might as well just hit the boss a few times and go behind the pillar. And I take care of the fooling.
Tips and mistakes
Which means Yagluth is alone again. And the blue fire stays for quite a long time, which is why you need to move Yagluth out of it or you'll take continuous damage. And meteors also hurt a lot if you get if you get hit by them. It is a it's it's a pretty tough fight, but with a silver sword it's pretty easy.
And he does his uh meteor attack again. As I And as you can see, the pillar is kind of taking damage and you can see the pillar is crumbling. If you were to if this fight went on for a longer time you might wanted to you might want to move to another pillar and then start the process over again. Like there's lots of pillars here at this boss fight, but I I kill him so fast that he do I don't really need more than one pillar in the fight.
I'm trying to reposition Yagluth here uh before he uh before I hit him again. And he summons meteors again and I move behind the pillar. And he does his AoE attack. Which really isn't all that dangerous if you have fire meat on.
