Quick answer
So countless eons ago, no more, we finally get a toggle in the settings menu that basically allows you to skip the intro cinematic. However, there's a catch as you can literally destroy your items entirely with the system. Combat idols can be used at the forge of potential to increase the level of your weapons and armor pieces, the protection variant. Although, you can't forget the limits of building around the sacrificial stones due to those pesky magical forces, so space will be constrained.
The metal forged by combining the biome's tin and copper can also be used to craft the bronze armor. Crossbows will be leveled the exact same way, but replace the workbench with a black forge for repairs on your arbalest. This is all new for me, that's why I also was able to find the new forge right there. You'll have to build around it to increase its level and unlock further recipes like the workbench and forge before it.
Then, combine these molds with ingredients at either the black forge or golder table to form a cast. And let's not forget how hard it is to find a max quality fish. And don't forget to name the portal at your base before you head out looking for a swamp. Firstly, the crafting portion refers to anything manufactured at any one of the games crafting stations starting with the workbench to most recently, the black forge and galdr tables.
Station basics
And don't forget, you can always add more cold [ ] around your base for more coverage. And if you do want to make up a snow shovel, it is made in the black forge. You'll notice that it requires a level two forge. To give your tamed animals a quick death, you can craft the butcher knife at the forge from four tin and two wood.
And then finally, I moved out to the courtyard where I built a small forge in the corner where armaments could be crafted and repaired. But these stacks are a huge step in the right direction and I think they're going to make our forge area look really cool. And while you'll start out with a simple workbench, you'll get forges and other stations. No more losing your boat location or forgetting a portal name.

How to build it
Don't get me wrong, I think it's a beautiful cinematic but after you've seen it once, you've basically seen it, right? So before you do that, here is everything you want to know about the forge of potential from locating it on your world and how exactly it works to my tips on best using it. Of course, all of this is dependent on you finding the forge of potential in the first place. Although this one at a new workstation in the forge, the bronze set is the game's first heavy armor set which delivers a movement speed penalty both from the curus and leggings of minus 5% each.
But, with the molds acquired, you'll be able to make the cast for the vanguard and protector at the black forge, and cast their set at the golder table. To gather the sword fragments to reforge this sword, you need to find the first mysterious location from a vezer stone inside a putrid hole. Of course, ensure you have a forge nearby as you will be breaking your cultivator repeatedly during this process. So, if you go to your black forge and we open that up, then there's a number of new crafting recipes that we can do from here. Now, if your forge is not level two, you can actually upgrade it by crafting, for example, a forge cooler and then just putting it in range of the forge. I built out a small forge where weapons and armors would be crafted and repaired and then finally added some nicer bedrooms towards the top of the structure. So this is going to be the forge area.
Upgrades and requirements
And don't forget to put some bird nest down as well. And this one came as a big surprise but my absolute favorite feature they decided to finally add after all those years is the alternative dodge roll. Also guys, we were able to secure the full protector set. And don't forget the new shield of roots, a round shield with a unique reduction of attack stamina of 10% and the game's first shield to have no movement speed penalty.
To craft this one, you'll need to overcome many of the game's bear for their hide, paws, and elusive 10% drop rate trophy for the headdress, but also forge some blueberries. Make sure you make the upgrades for each table and the standing loom for the golder and smith's apron for the black forge to get the most out of your new gear. Now, similar to the traders, uh this does have 10 potential locations to spawn in your world, and this is called the forge of potential. Each one of these individual items will upgrade the level of the forge.
If you happen to forget your swamp key there is glitch you can take advantage of to get into the sunken crypts. I realized I'm also going to need a regular crafting area and we're going to need to leave this like expandable for future things like black forge and uh stuff like that. So instead of press and holding your right mouse to then space bar for roll, you can finally bind one button on your mouse or wherever you like to do the exact same thing. Every single end game armor set in the past couple days for which I already made a ultimate guide you can find in the top right of the screen.
Best practices
To make the biome's weapons, you'll first need to combine your molds with the appropriate ingredients at either the black forge or galdr table to make the weapon cast. And like the heavy bronze set before it, is made of the forge, gives a ton of armor, and reduces movement speed by 5% respectively by the chest piece and leggings. Unless you enjoy a good gamba at the forge of potential. So, if we walk up to this forge and press E to use it, then what we can do is upgrade certain things.
If you happen to forget iron however, it and other metals can be found inside ancient pots both scattered amongst ruins or inside putrid holes. But with our forge area, we got some more upgrades put down for them. They also added accessibility settings to be able to toggle blocking. Especially the heavily sought after protector set is something that many people want to get their hands on.
Next, place the cast on the forge and give sufficient fuel will produce the desired weapon in 30 seconds or so. And to upgrade it to a max level of four, you'll need at least two of the smith's anvil, forge tool rack, or forge bellows to achieve a level five forge. Molds for these are also found in winding tunnels and are combined with timber wood and blood gold to forge. So, obviously again, you cannot do this in the game in any other way other than upgrading it with idols at the forge of potential.
Tips
And that should be enough for Black Forge that we can get. I don't think this is going to be interesting for most play styles. This guide has it all to make that nice and easy for you. The standing loom for the galdr table, smith's aprons for the black forge, and smoker for the cauldron.
A max quality is completely achievable with the level four forge and workbench, which you should have at this stage with all the bench upgrades now acquired, unless you miss the grinding wheel. So for our black forge right now, that's how we're getting our black marble. Well, if you're always a shield wall in front of your crew, then it could be handy. Anyways, the forge of potential, a literal altar of the gods that makes upgrading your equipment a whole lot more interesting.
You'll encounter many of these across the biome, but you'll first need to forge an intricate key to gain entry. Like the padded, it can be fully upgraded to quality of four at the forge as long as you have four of the upgrades alongside it. One of the biggest ones being the black forge. I'm sure the gear collectors for specifically the end game will absolutely love this as it's now going to become a whole lot easier to specifically get your hands on the protector set.
