In most seeds in Valheim, you start very close to the world center, but this one flips that on its head. At max level, your damage output for each class will be an average 141% higher with the minimum damage number increasing +240% and the max increasing roughly 81%. After chopping trees, use your axes secondary attack to destroy leftover stumps. I didn't want to just jump straight ahead and be like, "Oh, here's a deep north end game base." I I didn't want to do that. Dodge their attacks to knock down ancient trees and be rewarded with ancient bark otherwise locked, once again, behind a bronze axe.
Combat strategy
But rather than keep you protected from the deep north itself, it's needed to go ahead and mine these guys once you've killed them. Then, reel it in once the chain is near a horizontal position. And also, the falloff from the arrow overrange is minimal, which makes it great for sniping long-d distanceance enemies. Adrenaline is now gained with each attack, giving fast attack speed classes an advantage leading to more frequent trinket triggers.
Check this for an early axe head real quick. Structure six on the other hand has a chest 100% of the time and has the same 55% chance of spawning the curious axe head. Defeating them drops root which can be used to make the root armor set. This is just an objective upgrade over the stone and is a no brainer.
Further, melee weapons increase their knockback by the same percentage as damage and reduce stamina consumption per attack peaking at 33% less stamina at level 100. fiercely defended, located approximately 6 ft above my head. After a few smashes, the chest will break and its loot will rise to the surface relieving you of the need to craft the antler pickaxe. If you can't reach it in one reel, drop down once to build pendulum momentum.
Tips
You can also upgrade the dragger fang bow all the way to level four, which quadruples your poison damage and gives you another 10 piercing damage on top. Not to mention, sloped combat has been improved resolving one of this weapon classes biggest weaknesses. The Elder model and his trophy likewise have been reworked. In my opinion, axes are for chopping trees, not combat, so a warning to axe enjoyers, this might not be the video for you.
Leveling your weapon skill will vastly increase your damage output. And don't forget to name the portal at your base before you head out looking for a swamp. Reel in again from there and that momentum will carry you to the top. So firstly, you can get ancient bark from the ancient trees.
However I have to give the club an honourable mention. A new class of throwable bomb-style weapons can now be crafted throughout your run. Your starting weapon is powerful being the first source the player has to elemental damage in fire. While this is good, it is nothing compared to the benefits of leveling your bow skill.
