Quick answer
Almost all the bosses are on the starter continent except for bone mass and father, but all the traders can also be found on the starter island. Lastly, is Eikthyr which like all other bosses and minibosses have a 100% drop rate. This practice can be extended to bosses like the Elder or Yagluth by spamming fires and circling him all while maintaining the fire durability with the hammer. It's got more biomes to explore, more bosses to fight, more dungeons to explore, more weapons, armor, construction materials.
In this video, I’m going to take advantage of gaming mechanics and glitches to do things….maybe not intended by the developers, like turning wood stacks into coal, skipping bosses by using… a chair? It's not clear which creatures it blocks, but I imagine it prevents the more dangerous night spawning creatures that begin to appear in the meadows as you progress the game defeating bosses. Unlike most other bosses in the game, this boss has a weakness to both blunt and frost damage. Now, in terms of playing through the game, you've got the same bosses that you have in vanilla.
Whats noteworthy about this command is the only events that can be triggered are those eligible based upon the bosses you have defeated and the biome you’re in. They can guard your base or you can take them out on hunts and even use them to kill bosses. Bosses too, while maybe obvious, are also super uncommon and often very difficult to find. By traveling to and conquering the mini-bosses at these locations, you claim chests, which when brought back to Hildr, unlock additional wares in her shop.
Boss basics
Now, this will work on every mob in the Valheim game, but it does not work on the bosses. But, I will say I do really think that once again, the messages being different, not for all of the bosses, but for some of them, just makes me feel like they went over the game. Thank god that trash is over. This is my fight with Yagluth.
Funny enough, the brass chest of course is from the same creature dropping the seventh trophy for the biome and first of valheims minibosses in Brenna. Bonfires like the campfires can be used to cheese bosses like Moder and Yagluth as well, by combining their powers with number 19 on this list we will cover in a bit. There's an actual opening movie and boss cinematics, but I didn't actually get to see a lot of it cuz they don't work if you've fought the bosses already. In Valheim bosses typically know where you are and will move towards your location.
However, I did try try with bosses and they seem to be the exception. Beating some of the game's bosses unlocks two rare visitors to the game in Thor and Odin. Naturally, you have more sacrificial stones that spawn now with seven accounting for the Mistlands and Ashlands bosses. And also, once again, I won't show the cut scenes after the bosses cuz I want you guys to see those for the first time when you defeat the bosses for yourselves.
Summoning requirements
Where's the Where's the stuff you get from the boss? And I'm going to do a commentary while I'm watching the video myself. Like bosses, minibosses have a 100% drop rate so her trophy will be simple to acquire. And lastly, the Elder after summoning with 3 ancient seeds, again with a perfect drop rate. Eitr can also do more than break wards and can be used as a weapon against bosses, at least as a supplementary damage source.
The main goal is of course to defeat bosses, all of which are summoned by sacrificing some specific item at an altar somewhere in each biome. The only thing that might be harder to find than the bosses themselves are the Vegvesir stones that gave you their locations in the first place. It might be a minute before we go there, but we still have three bosses left and a ton of building to do. Spent two hours on this [ ] [ ]
As you can see, I'm walking up to the boss point here. Sixth is the second of Hildirs minibosses in Geirhaffa found in any one of the Howling caverns placed on your map again with a 100% drop chance. One of the overlooked mechanics of bosses is that they can’t attack what they cannot see. you've been through like four bosses and and and now there's magic suddenly.
Fight strategy
While some bosses are relatively straightforward to find, Yagluth and the Queen are notoriously more difficult. While Hilder didn't have anything new, we at least got the side quest done and we are one step closer to our achievement of getting all of the mini bosses killed. Um and I have already collected the statues needed to summon Yagluth. the first seven bosses for, you know, we we didn't we didn't make a shovel.
I am watching for mobs around the spawn point and clearing it before I start the boss fight, which is definitely recommended. We still need to kill Lord Reto at least give myself all the mini bosses achievement. Again, as some of the other boss fights, Yagluth spawns at a point and he has a common line phase where you can hit him a lot. And this is what I do.
I hit him again and again. And he as you can see, he loses about about 10% to 15% life. As you can see, he lifts his left arm here and meteors come down. The best place to be when he does this is behind a rock, uh behind uh Yagluth, so that the meteors come flying in from an angle where they will hit the pillar.
Rewards and drops
And this will be shown many times during this fight. And he also does a fire breath that does fire electricity damage, chop damage. And as you can see here, another foolin came in and I finished him off quickly. I will do this like three times in the fight in general.
And I'm trying to get as much damage in on Yagluth. While I still have my potion slot. And here he summons the meteors again. And as you can see they hit the giant pillar.
And It's it's one of the good ways to to really deal with Yagluth. It's not you shouldn't use a bow against Yagluth because he's resistant to piercing damage. So It's kind of a waste of time to do that. He is neutral to slashing damage and spirit damage which why which is why I used a silver sword against him because it had It's technically has the most damage.
Tips and mistakes
Even though the black sword has higher slashing damage. Uh The silver sword has also a lot of spirit damage which is helpful for Yagluth. As you can see I'm I'm burning away his health. You can see setting him on sort of spirit fire.
And you can see here I'm having trouble with a foolin. That is kind of a ranged spirit shocker. And I am trying to take care of him before I go in on the boss again. But decide that I might as well just hit the boss a few times and go behind the pillar.
And I take care of the fooling. Which means Yagluth is alone again. And the blue fire stays for quite a long time, which is why you need to move Yagluth out of it or you'll take continuous damage. And meteors also hurt a lot if you get if you get hit by them.
