How to Summon Eikthyr

Collect two Deer Trophies from deer in the Meadows, then place them on the Eikthyr altar. The fight starts immediately, so set a spawn point and clear the area before you offer the trophies.

Fight Strategy

Eikthyr uses three main attacks: a charge, a lightning strike, and a stomp. The charge is the easiest to punish—dodge sideways and land two heavy attacks. The lightning attack has a short windup; block it if your shield is strong enough, otherwise dodge through it. Keep your stamina above half at all times so you can always escape a bad position.

Fire Arrows are excellent for conserving stamina while dealing steady damage. If you have a Bronze Mace or Sledgehammer, use it for heavy burst damage during openings.

Rewards

Defeating Eikthyr drops Hard Antlers and unlocks the Eikthyr power. Hard Antlers are used to craft the Antler Pickaxe, which opens the Black Forest and the next stage of progression.

Common Mistakes

  • Starting the fight with low stamina or no food buffs.
  • Chasing Eikthyr instead of waiting for clear openings.
  • Forgetting to place a bed and portal near the altar.
  • Using a bow only and running out of arrows mid-fight.

Tips

  • Craft a Bronze Axe or Mace before the fight if you can.
  • Use Fire Arrows to burn Eikthyr down while conserving stamina.
  • Block the charge or dodge sideways, then punish with two heavy hits.
  • Save stamina for the lightning attack; a timely block prevents heavy damage.
