Quick answer

I know this looks like Valheim, but it's not. I think we can all agree Valheim's one of the best games out there, but even the greats have their flaws. Have you ever wished that Valheim had more and bigger dungeons and maybe some more build pieces, too, so you can make an epic Viking castle? Fortunately, Valheim's modding community is one of the best in the business.

How about lots of NPCs that give you quests to complete? And today, I'm going to solve all your Valheim pain with 25 quality of lifeenhancing mods, which at this point I would absolutely die without. Or maybe you'd like to be able to swim and build underwater. And before we get into it, don't worry.

In that case, these reworked and enhanced biomes will be something that you'll love. None of these mods drastically change the Valheim experience, but rather maybe smooth it out a little bit and add a sprinkle of spice. What I'm showing you is called Crumpack, and I'm going to be streaming gameplay of it soon. And we might as well start things off with an absolute banger in Azu extended player inventory.

Mod basics

I'd also like to make it clear that I'm not being sponsored or paid in any way to make this video. Inventory management is probably the most common pain point for Vikings. I just think it's an awesome Valheim mod pack, and I wanted to share it with you guys. Trust me, I even made a video about it.

So, this is where you'll spawn into the world, guys. And this mod offers the perfect solution. And uh it's also where you're going to get your first quest from Odin, your father himself. The three flexible spots, in addition to providing inventory space, add ease of access, coming with their own configurable keybinds that make for great places to add your foods or maybe mix in a me.

So, shift E opens up the quest. Maybe the best use case, however, is to host multiple arrow types for the ultimate archer. You can see there's a number of different quests here. This way, you can easily toggle through them when in a fight.

How to install

And using the quest system in this game is basically going to be how you figure out how you progress through. Maybe a little easier for me if I didn't happen to have my ability to sit bound to the same X key. and it's a really nice thing to have in the game cuz it adds a lot of content to it. But that is not all it offers.

So, you'll find yourself doing all kinds of quests for all different NPCs. also providing the flexibility to increase the number of rows in the standard inventory. Also, just a cool little thing here. This mod, like most on this list, can be easily customized to your liking with your mod manager of choice or by using this mustuse mod I'll cover later.

You can actually come under here and get your rested buff right from the start. You can extend the extra breathing room to your storage area, too, with another from Azu in Azu container sizes. So, we can sit on the floor here. This one does exactly as you'd expect with configuration options to add rows or columns to any chest.

Best mods

Um, just a random little tip that if you are going to play yourselves, this can be quite helpful. What I like about this one though is that it's not standardized across all chests, allowing you to configure each type as you see fit. So, obviously, there are links in the description for this. In my case, I decide to extend the space between my wooden and black metal chests.

You can get this pack at the moment on Patreon, but if you join the Discord, and I'll put a link to that as well, the Discord for this game. And don't worry about going overboard as a scroll wheel will be integrated should you exceed a certain threshold. Uh, basically, you can apply and try to get the game for free as well. With auto store, materials can be tossed onto the ground, and after a few seconds, they'll be pulled into nearby chests that contain common material.

They have spent thousands of dollars in developing this game. For instance, by placing hide and deer meat in these chests, I can drop them, and within seconds, poof, they're gone. So obviously they're trying to recoup some of that money and you know fund some future development of the game as well which is why it is on Patreon. The radius around the chest for which material is drawn can be increased or decreased to your liking, as can the highlighting behavior of the chest.

Compatibility

It's a purchase game rather than something that's free. Alternatively, you can even add a keybind to autodeposit items opposed to dropping everything if you prefer. Now I do want to say as well just for full disclosure that I did get access to this game for free. Once items are stored, you no longer need to have them on your person to craft.

I haven't had to pay to get it. Crafty boxes will detect the contents of nearby chests and allow you to pull material from them directly at the crafting station. Um and I wanted to promote it today. And once again, this range is completely configurable to your liking.

I wanted to show it to you guys cuz I think if you like Valheim, there's a good chance you'd be really interested in playing this. For a less transformative alternative to your storage woes, however, I'd have to suggest item drawers. Uh but again, I'm not sponsored. This mod adds new craftable storage chests that come in several different materials to suit your style.

Tips

Another important thing to mention is this is still a work in progress. Rather than functioning like the standard chests, these have only a single inventory slot, but have the benefit of displaying a visual of the items stored within it. This is just what they have released so far and obviously it is still under development. Wand is a powerful desktop app equipped with simpletouse tools that removes any obstacle for having fun in over 3,500 singleplayer PC games.

In terms of the development of this game, uh there are Valheim developers are aware of it. You click download, install, and one already knows what games are in your library. Yeah, they're aware of it and I think they're fine with it as far as I can tell. The first is Gizmo, which is a bit of a wacky mod, but makes for a lot of fun and can really enhance your build variety.

Uh one of the Valheim developers at least is in the Discord as well of this game. This mod effectively adds additional axes of rotation to items that you can build in place. Now, in terms of playing through the game, you've got the same bosses that you have in vanilla. For instance, I can tilt the throne forwards, backwards, however I want, even place my bed vertically against the wall.
