Quick answer
This is Rocky, I mean Big Thug. With powerful new trinkets, a brand-new adrenaline system, not to mention, parrying now costs ZERO stamina – the best weapons in the game have changed significantly. 12 powerful new melee and ranged weapons, magnified to busted frostfire or thunderblood variants, four incredible new staves, three armor sets, two new capes and trinkets, and one crown to rule them all. Trinkets are Valheims newest equipable tool that provide massive boosts to your viking but you you’re going to have plenty of options on your journey.
Across the game, there will be 13 of these unique trinkets with two per biome starting in the Black Forest and one for the ocean. Perfect dodges, trinkets, and even a magic system have made combat so much deeper and richer. Now, there are also 30 new trinkets in the game, which are the things that you're seeing here, which we can craft up. There are other weapons and even trinkets you can craft, partially using silver, but I just wanted to touch on a few highlights here.
He's one of the rarest, most difficult things to craft in all Valheim. I know there aren’t any trinkets in the meadows, but this weapons so good I take it well into the black forest ALL the time. Fortunately, the two capes and trinkets don't require a mold, so it's a little bit easier to craft them. Today I’ll breakdown which trinket I think is best in each of Valheims biomes and give my objectively correct ranking of each of the games 13 trinkets from Worst to Best.
Armor basics
So, let's actually go through all these trinkets, and we might as well start with this one, the bronze pendant, because that does require a bear trophy. To start, you first need to find the mysterious rock. The Black forest is where you’ll find your first trinkets in the Heart of the Forest and Bronze Pendant. So, if we craft that a sec, you'll see that if we right click to equip that, you cannot have multiple trinkets equipped at once as you might expect.
Unlike the typical stone, these are noticeably larger and shinier, but spawn incredibly rarely. Climbing into the mountains the choice becomes far more difficult revealing two of what I think are the best trinkets the game offers as you’ll find out in my overall rankings later. To find one, you need to be at least 1,000 m from the world center, be between 5 and 20 m in altitude, and can only be found in the meadows, black forest, swamp, and mountains. While it is nice, I think the benefit of proccing the trinkets power are kind of at odds with the way you generate adrenaline in the game.
But considering the low elevation of the swamp and high altitude of the mountains, meadows and black forest are your best bet. If you're having trouble finding it, you can ping it on your map if nearby with the command find placeable h hard rock. Once found, you unlock the recipe for the mysterious rock, which when combined with coal, gives you Rocky. Your pet rock will change their facial expression periodically, can be used as an item stand, and will even produce stone if placed next to another pet rock and give them some privacy, of course.
How to craft it
with a 33% chance every minute. And that's just the beginning of the secrets Rocky possesses with his rarest behavior we'll cover later, along with the 26 other rarest things in Valheim in today's video. Second are wild beehives, the player source of honey, which are more uncommon than you might think, having small chances to spawn in four different locations. And believe it or not, one of them is not in the meadows.
The first are in abandoned houses in the starting biome that, if you didn't know, take 13 unique forms. Of these 13, all but three of them have a 25% chance to spawn a wild beehive with version 8 and 12 not spawning. And version three, while not specifying a percentage in the wiki, I know from experience they can spawn here. Second, beehives can appear within the houses at abandoned villages with a 20% chance in each of the main structures.
Third are in these rare meadows villages that are too uncommon for us to talk about just yet. And fourth are in the black forest at these contested towers. Not to be confused with a regular skeleton or grey dwarf tower. These are often protected by a greyorf brute, have a table and chair inside, but also a 28.1% chance to spawn a wild beehive.
Stats and bonuses
Both onion and turnup seeds are commonly difficult to find. Onion seeds, for instance, can only be found in chests across the mountains overworld and come with a tiny loot chance of a mere 12 1/2% chance. Turnup seeds, on the other hand, are not found in a chest, but rather growing in the swamp's biome. With the swamp being covered with so much water, the turnup seeds spawn far less frequently than carrots in the Black Forest for comparison.
Many Vikings have nearly lost their minds searching for these in the dark swamp. Number four takes us to the sea and might very well be the most controversial rare thing on this list in the Leviathan. Despite many people thinking they're common, these have just a 1% chance to spawn on any given 64x 64 meter grid of ocean. Considering the size of the vast water, you likely won't find many of these.
Although, I don't know if this is new behavior, but recently I and a lot of people in my comment section have been finding these in large groups. Despite what some people believe, these can only spawn either during the night or while it's raining. Fifth are shipwrecks, which are scattered evenly across the map and unless you're looking for them, can be easily overlooked. They come in four distinct variants and can be encountered on the coast of the Black Forest, swamp, or plains.
Best use cases
Destroy them for an excellent source of finewood, and make sure you dig beneath them as each has a 74.9% chance to spawn a chest filled with valuables. Each of the games three vendors provide excellent benefits to players, which is why so many become frustrated with how hard they are to find. Contrary to popular belief, they don't spawn at a single location, but actually have 10 potential spawn points. That said, as soon as the first of these is discovered, the other nine disappear.
Howdor, of course, has 10 locations in the Black Forest, but will only spawn 1500 m from the world center. Each world will have three instances of these special quest destinations. Surprisingly, you don't actually need to find Hilder to generate these points of interest. And if incredibly lucky, you can actually stumble upon these before finding the vendor.

Tips
Added in the Call to Arms update, combat ruins can now be found in the meadows, but not close to spawn. Any world will have up to five of these, and inside will be evil bone piles that will periodically spawn skeleton for you to fight. Bosses too, while maybe obvious, are also super uncommon and often very difficult to find. He will, of course, disappear if you get too close, but will only start to spawn after you've defeated the Elder.
The only thing that might be harder to find than the bosses themselves are the Vegvesir stones that gave you their locations in the first place. While some bosses are relatively straightforward to find, Yagluth and the Queen are notoriously more difficult. Yagluth, for instance, is harder to find simply because unlike preceding biomes, the plains doesn't have any dungeon instances where the Veggrair can be found. Your only chance is to stumble across one of the six Stonehenge variants, and even then, those will only have a chance to give you the Veggrair.
Of the six variants, five of them have a 40% chance to spawn the runstone. And to make matters worse, there can only be five instances of variants 1 through four on any given seed and only 20 of number five. Based on those numbers, you can expect on average only 16 Yagluth vegges on any given map. The queen has the reverse problem where the only way to find her vegirere is within infested mines with none spawning in the overworld.
